Rule sheet / L · fictional line game

What exactly is stated?

Specimen L is a made-up three-reel, three-row exercise. It is not a real machine. Every later L slip uses only the conditions written here.

01 / stated

Exactly two active horizontal lines: top and middle, each read left to right across all three reels. The bottom row and diagonals are not active lines.

A, B = letter symbols; W = substitute symbol; S = trigger symbol; · = a blank symbol with no listed award. Underlines mark the two active rows.

03 / test

Award conditions

  • Three A on an active line: 5 credits per credit bet on that line.
  • Three B on an active line: 3 credits per credit bet on that line.
  • W substitutes for A or B on a line, and for nothing else. S is not a line substitute.
  • At most one listed win per line: use the highest listed win if more than one fits.
  • Three S anywhere in the nine displayed positions trigger a feature. What the feature awards is not specified.
04 / units

Separate the amounts

Stake: 2 credits on each active line × 2 lines = 4 credits in total. Each credit is AUD $0.01, so the total stake is $0.04.

A line award multiplies only that line's 2 credits, not the total 4-credit stake. Gross prize is the sum of known eligible line awards; net difference is gross prize minus total stake.

When the feature triggers, its award and therefore the full gross prize and net difference cannot be calculated from this sheet.

Transparent sheet aligned over blank ruled paper
Conceptual rule overlayThe blank overlay is a metaphor for checking stated conditions, not an active route or payout evidence. Specimen L's exact rules remain in the selectable sheet above.

This sheet defines a teaching example, not a payout schedule for any licensed product. The complete, no-feature cases in Lines and Arithmetic apply these rules without adding new ones.
